Bill Hartsock dropped off these two fascinating aerial shots of the area by Demementi studio from 1972.

Scroll around the larger versions to spot the differences… A few things that jump out:

• the streets cutting through and around Jefferson Park
• the Marshall Street Viaduct in all of its glory
• a look at the missing houses on Carrington (above) and elsewhere
• that store at 23rd and Jefferson (a grocery?)
