National Rebuilding Day to help with 50 homes

04/07/2014 6:45 AM by

Approximately 50 homes will receive safety, security and weatherization improvements as part of National Rebuilding Day:

Rebuilding Day is our annual one-day “blitz”, held the last Saturday in April, when over 1,500 volunteers each year make both major and minor repairs to qualified homes. Our focus is to bring lasting change to a community by providing home improvements and safety and wellness enhancements for the elderly and disabled. We are rebuilding homes, and rebuilding lives.

Our volunteers come from businesses, religious groups, schools, community service organizations, corporations and associations. All professions are represented, and anyone who’s willing to lend a hand can help. Whether you are a novice or a pro, we can use your help!

Skilled and experienced volunteers should consider maximizing the use of their skills by becoming a House Captain.
