Armstrong Cycling Team gears up for race season

Roanoke Bound: Lavone and Antonio are heading up the varsity charge tomorrow in Roanoke…race 2 in the VA High School MTB Series. Intervals on Tuesday, 21 miles of mountain biking Wednesday, and a solid 13 miles with race prep yesterday (pic below). We leave today for our first away-race…we’re about 3 years ahead of competitive-schedule with these two young men…give it up Richmond!

Big Day yesterday for Armstrong Cycling Team at their first race! Our 3 men’s Varsity crew hung in there, and were competitive through the grueling 16 mile mountain bike race. Our women’s team competed in the JV race, with 3 girls making the top 5…Jasmine Walker took 3rd! Photos are coming soon. Next race…Roanoke!
