Is Plein Air in May or June? When has the CHA hosted and intertained this group? Last year it was done by private donations and volunteers and WAS NOT in any way CHA related.
@1 intertained? And where were you when there were dinners, breakfasts and cocktails for the painters. CHA was involved from the jump! And made a fantastic contribution to the week.

Where were you?
Nice try #4.
KatManDo
What do you mean by, “nice try”?
At a membership meeting the CHA was asked to fund a dinner for the Plein Air artist. They refused. So several INDIVIDUALS offered to put up $100.00 each. When enough commitments came in, I agreed to take on the dinner, intertainment and decorations. All of this of course with my fantastic neighbors help!!!
I posted here because I am concerned with the CHA’s habit of engauging in revisionist history and taking credit where credit is not due.
Recently the CHA has started claiming it is an HOA. To myknowledge, the CHA has never claimed HOA status and nowhere in it’s by-laws does it claim HOA status and the filing with the SEC does not mention HOA status. I am sure the membership is unaware of this recent change in the focus of the CHA. It makes a BIG difference in what an organization can and cannot do and what the legal consequences are of their actions.
I feel that you are on the attack without an accurate base of information at your disposal.
The coctail party, the dinner, and the intertainment was paid for and produced with private funds and effort!
As president of CHA, I am unaware of any claims that CHA is an HOA. I know of no plans for conversion. Hope this helps!
Mr. Cooper
Then you should discuss this issue with Karen Jones, John Whitworth and their attorney. As president of the CHA, you should be aware of this issue and so should the membership.
Here is the link for the current June CHA Newsletter in PDF format.
My article about the history of the Billups Funeral Home starts on page 10.

Church Hill + HOA(Home Owner’s Association)= RIDICULOUS
Eric
It is an interesting article and I have read it in it’s entirety. I will be submitting an article to the CHA Newsletter shortly. However, I doubt it will be published.
I have recently requested information and clarification from several current board members as well as Mr. Cooper. I have not received the curtesy of a response.
Bless your heart jean mcdaniel…you stir the pot like it’s an Olympic sport – always going for the gold!
Calendar of events gets it right. Plein Air is hosted and presented by Brazier Gallery. NOT THE CHA!
