Souperb now open on 25th Street
06/18/2014 4:52 PM by John M
Diane Fraser of Cucina has taken over the entire storefront on 25th that she shared with Street Deli and has opened Souperb, a takeout lunch and dinner spot offering handcrafted soups, sauces and savory dishes – Mediterranean specialties such as Paella Valencia, Cassoulet du Cochon and Moroccan Tagine.
Souperb (“It’s Dinner in a Minute!”) opened today, and will now be open Tues-Fri noon – 6 PM and Saturday 10 AM – 3 PM.
Diane has been selling soups and stews as Souperb at local farmers’ markets and retailers such as Little House Green Grocery and Shields Market since 2013. Jars of Southern classics like Brunswick Stew are also available now at Souperb.

That place looks so cute!
She was giving away samples of salads last night at the CHA picnic. I tried the corn salad and it was great.
Cool. Can’t wait to try this.
I hope that banner is just a temporary sign solution. Would look much nicer painted on the window.
Another fun place to try on the Hill!!!!
If you like soup and good food–go see Diane at Souperb–and ask about her new puppy!
Closing @ 3pm isn’t going to let people get take out dinner. Both me and my husband aren’t home before 6pm most nights. Hope it works but the hours are too short.
Love my neighborhood but for working Proffessionals 10 -3pm doesn’t work.
The hours are only 10-3 on Saturdays, till 6pm on weekdays. I’m excited because it’s in between Proper Pie and Sub Rosa!
@8, I think she’s open until 6 p.m. Tues – Fri, and until 3 on Saturday. At least that’s what’s in the body of the article above. It’s still cutting it short, I’d like to see 7 p.m., but…not my shop. I wish her luck with it.
Re: window sign… If the owner would like to contact me, my brother (who works for New Bohemia Signs in SF ) will be in town at the beginning of July and will have his painting and gold leaf supplies with him (he’s doing our transom in white gold leaf). He could use some money for the trip back to SF if you or anyone else is interested in having something done. He does amazing work.
I’ve been buying her soups at Little House Green Grocery for the last year. They are awesome!
The soups are amazing. We grabbed some at the St. Patrick’s festival and have been waiting for her to open this since then. Good addition to the neighborhood.
@12, since the store owner does not seem to be posting here, or might be a bit busy with the opening, why don’t you go there and talk to her (and buy something while you are there)? You might take some photos of his work, too, to show her. Great way to advertise your brother’s work!
This sounds like a neat idea for a quick hot meal on the go!
Menus to post?
Paul.. the other owner (not sure if they are still a part of this business) at that location Street Deli, usually sets up their cart across from my building (Riverfront Plaza Towers) almost every day so I wonder if this will also have a mobile cart somewhere downtown?
Everything that Diane makes tastes incredible. She adds a special touch and her soups are no exception. We are lucky to have her on Church Hill.
Hi everyone – Diane Fraser from Souperb here. Thanks for your kind comments – and yes, that banner IS temporary, although we will be keeping the plate glass windows clear! Extending weekday hours to 6:30, so come by and sample our delicious fare. Will post the menu and weekly specials shortly!
