It looks like a blue jay pooping on the cookie monster, while two potato heads are making out (one with a sock as a sombrero) under the tree of life from Avatar.
Well, that won’t help property values. They should have restored the brick rather than try to validate the vandalism. It’s their building and I guess they can do what they want with their property, but such an unattractive choice that rewards bad behavior is a regrettable course of action.
“murals” are simply bandaids on urban blight. Moved from Adams Morgan in DC. The “murals” of the late ’90s I remember have all been erased to reveal new restaurants, businesses and residences. Don’t cover up..clean, rehab, and restore!
Some of the murals look nice, some of them are awful. I love the one Ed Trask did on 25th. The one I hate the most is the people with tubes coming out of their eyes on Broad Street near VCU. We need to be more selective about what “art” goes up.
This was a creative way to cover up graffiti on that building.
But hell to try and revert back to original brick for anyone who tries to restore the building.
