Not unusual that they are having a moving sale but usually companies or government will move your items for transfers. Wonder why “everything” must go? Someone passed on? Has anyone investigated to get a list of featured items yet?
From personal experience, if you’re a young professional right out of school, 1) companies won’t pay moving costs and 2) because of #1 its a lot easier to sell it all and then start over in your new locale. AND the less you own, the cheaper it is to move it.
Agreed. As someone who is always looking at other opportunities I can tell you that relocation packages are much more rare these days. Typically only provided once you get to the “executive” level. Companies are always looking to cut costs.
