The picture above is from the 600 block of 33rd. Pretty sure the people got evicted and the landlord just threw everything out in the street. I understand evicting the people and their stuff, but shouldn’t the landlord have a responsibility to keep the sidewalk clear also?
I think the people evicted have a certain time frame to collect their stuff off of teh curb.
I think I just made it 8 out of 11. Thanks for the link.
Shall we take bets on when the city will get around to taking care of this? Not that I think it should have been their responsibility in the first place…
This is more of a landlord issue and should not involve the city at all. As a taxpayer, I don’t want to be funding a service to clean up after people’s mess. If the city collects this, the landlord should be billed for the appropriate charges.
#5 as soon as they replace the backboard on the basketball hoop @ Chimbo, they’ll be on it!
Has anyone considered contacting the news on this one?
The city picked this stuff up some time this morning. There is still a smattering of trash on the sidewalk, but thanks to the city for taking care of the big stuff. Us neighbors will take care of the rest.
