The agenda for the Tuesday, December 9, 2014 meeting of the Commission of Architectural Review includes 4 new construction houses:
- 501 N. 26th Street – Repair porch detail with new material
- 1921 Princess Anne Avenue – Install decorative fountain
- 2818 E. Marshall Street – Restore facade, construct rear deck and balcony
- 607-609 N. 29th Street – Construct two attached single-family residences
- 615 N. 29th Street – Construct new single-family residence
- 2402 E. Clay Street – Add storm windows and replace windows on side
- 610 N. 23rd Street – Construct new single-family residence
- 2813 M Street – Revisions to approved quadraplex design
TAGGED: CAR
Should the 3 new construction properties on 29th St. Be approved (fingers crossed) The Brad Ruckart Real Estate Group will be representing the developer in the sale of those great new dwellings. If you have any questions regarding fit or finishes, please reach out to me directly! Happy Holidays all!
The double house with the porches in the above photo would probably look better and function/wear/weather better if the roof over the porches is a continuous roof, rather than two separate parts, especially if they meet the way they appear to meet in the drawing. (Looks a little odd and/or like it may cause drainage problems if built as in the drawing. And doing it the other way might actually be cheaper – fewer hips and angles). In any event, it seems like this would be more typical of double houses/twins in the neighborhood.
Just a suggestion.
