Area woman desperately needs help getting tree removed
01/29/2015 8:28 AM by John M
I was recently contacted by someone in code enforcement and asked to share this out:
There is an elderly woman in the Eastview area in need of help. She has a hazardous tree located in the back yard that needs to be cut down and removed from the property, but she does not have the resources to take care of it.
This contact with the city says that they have worked to delay this as best they can, but that they will have no choice but to take the woman to court in the near future unless something is done.
If you have the contacts or resources to help this woman, please contact me directly at murden@gmail.com.
Has anybody gotten a quote from true Timber or similar? Seems like it would be a simple matter to start a crowd-funding page!
I thought about that as a back-up plan. Thankfully, it looks like a local tree service is going to see what they can do as a way to “help the world be a better place”. I’ll follow up on this as I get more details.
That’s great news…
Thanks for sending this out John!
code enforcement for a hazardous tree?
Yep
I’ll volunteer some free labor
I’d also volunteer some free labor.

Here is an idea….what it would cost to take woman to court is about the same as what it would cost to remove the tree. She isn’t going to magically come up with the money to get it taken care of just bc you take her to court.
