Is this your cat?
02/20/2015 9:43 PM by John M
This sweet girl kitty was hanging around the neighbor’s back yard meowing and meowing. It’s awful cold outside so we’ve brought her in for the night.
We’ll try Church Hill Animal Hospital in the morning, but if she’s yours or you recognize her, contact John at (804)564-1360 or murden@gmail.com.
I believe that is Wednesday. She belongs to the guy who lives above me, Bryan Condra. She is super, super sweet. If you can’t hold on to her until I can get in touch with Bryan, I can come get her and keep her in my apt. I have texted him your info, John.
I was taking her to the vet to see if they recognized her but she broke loose on the way to the car. Good news it that it’s not 10 degrees anymore, hope she gets home ok. Super sweet cat.
Where did she get away from you? I’ll go try and get her.
Turns out it’s a different kitty. Wednesday is safe and sound upstairs. I hope whoever owns this sweet gal gets her back soon!
I believe I found her Natalie. Please contact me as soon as you can.
Thanks!
Alison
John, ever hear of a pet carrier?
@7 if you need a carrier, I have a spare one. Also, the Church Hill Animal Hospital has extras. And I know someone who swears by putting a cat into a pillow case and tying a knot in it (have not tried that),
So we have the %$#! cat again. She wandered up the street to a house, conveniently one with a pet carrier.
Aww how sweet! She likes you!
Seconding the cat-in-the-pillowcase thing. This is also the preferred method of transport for adult iguanas.
I’m pretty sure she’s your cat now, John M.!!
It is absolutely pouring down cold rain, and I’m glad that she is warm and dry at your home. Let me know if you need a carrier on Monday to take her to the vet, thanks.
So tomorrow (Monday) you put her in the carrier while still inside, then take her to the vet and see if they know her. She is obviously someone’s pet, and looks supremely happy in the picture, I’d bet she was purring then. And if she could talk, she’d thank you for taking her in.

So John, what’s the news with the sweet kittie? Did the Church Hill Animal Hospital folks know her?
Never made it, though found someone else to house her.
Okay, that’s good. Glad she’s indoors and warm.
Pillow cases might be okay for a feral cat, but certainly not for a domesticated cat. A proper carrier is always best and even then, it’s very stressful for the animal. John, thanks for your concern about all homeless pets in CH. This site has reunited many a lost pet and found homes for homeless kitties, too.
