Then and now on 25th Street

Meghan Hughes presented a fascinating introductory slideshow at the Church Hill North Community Conversation earlier this month. Included was this 1940s shot of 802 North 25th Street. I would love to see this jewel brought back to life.
The Community Conversations at the Valentine continue through June with events exploring Old Town Manchester, Carver, Barton Heights, and Forrest Hill.

John – just so happens I am putting plans together for this bad boy as we speak! The pic above is awesome. Can you email me any others you have that I can use?
Daniil – that’s amazing. I walk by this house almost every day and almost every time try to see it whole again.
This one photo is all that I have. My 1st places to look for a good archive are always the Valentine and the Library of VA.
Daniil,
We’d be happy to see if the Valentine’s holdings include more images of 802 N. 25th Street. Please email archives@thevalentine.org so that we can begin your research request.
John/Meg – thanks! Will email archives shortly
Going on year 2 at 806 and would love to see this rejuvenated. Thanks Daniil!
In year 3 at 813 and 1/2 and this is awesome news. Thank you for doing this, Daniil.
I’m excited about bringing this one back to life. Got a few projects in the neighborhood ahead of it but hoping to start renovating this one in late summer/early fall, maybe earlier if all applications get approved.
Michael T: I am actually building right behind you at 805 N. 24th st right now. Maybe i’ll run into you sometime!
