Free weekly Church Hill walking tours start next week
While the Richmond Tour Guys kicked off their season of FREE walking tours of Downtown and Shockoe a few weeks back, their weekly Church Hill tour starts Saturday, April 4th (through 11/21):
Church Hill is the oldest neighborhood in Richmond. You will meander through streets lined with beautiful late 18th and 19th century architecture; see St. John’s Episcopal Church where Patrick Henry proclaimed “Give me liberty, or give me death!” in 1775; and view stunning vistas of the City of Richmond. You will also hear about the eccentric cast of characters who make up the fabric of Colonial, Federal, and antebellum Richmond.
The tour lasts approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. It meets in front of St. Johns Church on 25th& Broad St. No need to reserve a spot, just show up!
The tour is free. If you like the tour, please tip your guide.
Sounds great. What time is the group meeting up?
@1 I had the same question, clicked on the link and it said Saturdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. I hope that is current information, kind of hard to tell. I guess the best way to test it is to show up.
