Possible burglary on 26th Street, package theft on 32nd Street

600 block of North 26th Street / Destruction of Property / Possible Burglary:

On April 29th officers responded to an address in the 600 block of North 26th Street for an alarm call. Officers discovered that the rear door to the residence was damaged and it appeared that someone attempted to kick the door in. It was undetermined if entry was actually made. The residence had several newspapers and mail in front of the home and appeared vacant. K-9 units along with patrol searched the structure and no one was found. The owner responded and determined that nothing was missing.

300 block of North 32nd Street / Larceny / Package Theft:

On April 29th, sometime between the hours of 12:00 pm and 10:00 pm a UPS package was stolen from an address in the 300 block of North 32nd Street. It was confirmed that the package was delivered to the residence without requiring a signature and there was no one to accept same. Inside the package was a large area rug valued at approximately $200 dollars.

Citizens are asked to contact the police at 646-5100 with any information related to these or other crimes.
