Planning to consider mixed-used for 32nd and Marshall

The agenda for the May 18 meeting of the City Planning Commission has one item of specific local interest:
ORD. 2015-098 To authorize the special use of the property known as 320 North 32nd Street for the purpose of a mixed-use development, upon certain terms and conditions.
This is going to be the replacement of the blue wheeler!!
Thanks god and I hope they run those slum lords out of town! That is one of the roughest looking buildings on the block now.
@Church Hillian – not sure what you mean by replacement, since it will be across the street…
@Lee
I ment its going to run the blue wheeler out of business.
What would you choose a dirty, expensive dump, run by sleezeballs or a nice new shop?
I’m all for established places in the hill, and original establishments, but I would not miss this place one bit.
Church Hillian: You are assuming that a market is going in to this space, which is a guess on your part, I think. The developers told me the their thoughts run more toward a yoga studio, offices for businesses such as a lawyer or accountant. No mention of a market in my discussion with them earlier this year. I think the BW as we know it, will go away in the foreseeable future. That piece of property is going to become too valuable to let it continue on as is. I wish, but don’t think, it will happen this year, or because of this particular project.
I heard several months back someone said it was going to be a market, which, as you said might not be true. Either way I think the building will be good for that area, and either way I still home the blue wheeler gets run outa town!
And on that, we agree, Church Hillian!!
