What A Day: Armstrong Cycling Takes 3rd Overall In The State! Armstrong Cycling with their junior MLK Middle Cycling team, competed in Race # 5 of the Virginia High School Mountain Bike Series– which was also the VA St. Championship Race, at the Blue Ridge School. A brutal course in brutal heat and humidity, saw many competitors not finish. Armstrong and MLK dug deep, pulled from their training, put their team first, and had every one of the 16 riders finish!
Results are not posted yet, but Armstrong High School was able to defend their 3rd place VAHS MTB Series Ranking! We are so proud of this team– how hard they’ve trained– how much they’ve overcome– how much character they’ve developed!
To MLK Middle: Look what you guys accomplished,as a team, for a team, in just 8-weeks!! Welcome to the pipeline of success and character development that is Richmond Cycling Corps and Armstrong Cycling! You’re just getting started!
Wow. Such a nice story to read over Sunday morning coffee. Very proud for the trainers and volunteers who coach and mentor these young athletes. Kudos to the student cyclists who show us all how to ride with heart.
This is outstanding!!
What a testament. There is nothing like hard work and effort! Money cannot buy those things. Great job to everyone involved!
Outstanding!! Well Done Armstrong! You make us proud. Real heart and determiniation come from those with a real hunger to succeed.
How cool is this!
Congratulations Armstrong Cycling Team – so proud of you all!!!!
What a fantastic accomplishment!
Congrats to the persevering athletes and the inspirational coaches!
It is a remarkable accomplishment!!! They have so much to be proud of. I searched the RTD, but didn’t find an article. Too bad. With all the negative news about the projects, they are such a shining light of good. I think they deserve some attention and the city needs to hear more about them.
