The East District Family Resource Center on Jefferson Avenue is seeking to seat new members on its Board of Directors:

Our areas of interests for our newest board members include: CPA/Treasurer, youth leader, corporate representative, Bon Secours, fund/organizational development, grant writer, non-profit leader (program or executive level), and civic/academic , and representatives from East End neighborhoods in Church Hill & Fulton.

The East District Family Resource Center traces its history to the work of the City of Richmond and Commonwealth of Virginia’s with Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Urban Mental Health Initiative in 1992. The organization was structured around the national family support program model, which recognized and emphasized the need for those seeking services in challenged communities to access coordinated comprehensive services.

If you are driven and committed to building supporting and enhancing a community resource in Richmond’s East End, we hope that you would consider joining the East District Family Resource Center’s Board of Directors. Resumes or CVs for prospective board candidates are being accepted until Monday, June 15, 2015 at noon at the East District Family Resource Center, 2405 Jefferson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23223, or by FAX 804-644-4223 ATT: FRC Board of Directors.
