Body found off of Jennie Scher

Richmond detectives are investigating the death of a person whose remains were discovered Friday off the 2200 block of Jennie Scher Road in the city’s East End, police said.

The remains were found about a half-mile from the home of Katasha Johnson, 26, who has been missing since June 3. The area had been searched previously with cadaver dogs, and police could not immediately confirm whether the discovery of the remains was connected to that case.
