No judgement, but was the car unlocked (implied but not clear). If the car was locked, should we be looking for broken windows or something, or would the thieves have just picked the lock? I ask because I think I would be more likely to notice something like a broken window or damage of some sort then remember the license plate number. In the same vein, did the car have any other distinguishing features – dents, scratches, bumper stickers or the like?
