Tires slashed, windshield smashed on Clay Street
08/01/2015 7:23 AM by John M
The iconic black & green Mercury that parks on Clay near 24th has been the repeated target of vandalism recently:

Two weeks ago my tires were slashed on my ’63 Mercury Meteor. Replaced them, as I thought it was a random act of vandalism. Then today I arrived home from work around 3:30 and the two new tires were slashed and the windshield was smashed. Don’t know if any of this is pertinent but any ideas/tips/etc would be appreciated.

What is going on, church hill? Sorry this happened, neighbor. Our car and a neighbors car was hit in a hit and run yesterday evening. Blue ford explorer if anyone sees one that is smashed on the passenger side. 3rd accident I have seen on Marshall in 2 weeks. Over it.
I have had to call the police three times after spotting men looking through car windows with flashlights. Be careful. Lock up.
My husband’s car was keyed 2 nights ago at the 400 block of 29th. They wrote f**k u on the hood and there’s a scratch down the whole drivers side. I don’t know what’s going on around here with everyone’s cars….
A Domino’s delivery guy had his car stolen around midnight Friday, while making a delivery to a home across the street from the lofty apartments on East Broad.
I am sorry this happened…but it might have been triggered by the fact that this is the loudest car I have ever heard, the way it is always backfiring. There are times it has raced by my house, with the engine revving, and then backfiring that I have been tempted to throw things at it for disturbing the peace…but unlike the vandals, I am civilized and just repress.
