Missing this sweet tabby cat?

Contact Carly at carlyengelberger@yahoo.com:
Is anyone missing this sweet tabby cat? He/she has been hanging around our home in Union Hill on 23rd and Leigh Street. Very sweet, friendly and hungry. Seems to be homeless.
We met that kitty in the alley the other night. She is super sweet and friendly. Dr Jack @ Church Hill Animal hospital will discount your first visit/shots if you tell her you took in a stray off the street. That cat is a keeper. Thank you for feeding and watering her till she finds a home.
She is not homeless, she lives on the 2200 block of Jefferson Ave.
@ 2. Yeah! Awesome news. Thanks.
Thanks so much for taking the time to provide info. Are you certain that she is owned and being taken care of by someone? She has a broken tail and seems to be seeking a lot of attention over this past week.
Can you please send me the cat owner’s name and contact info?
I would like to know who the owner is, also. She’s been staying on my back porch most mornings, begging for food.
If her owners are feeding her outside, she may “sharing” her food with strays and not getting enough food.
As far as broken tails go, be aware that inbred cats often have a kink in their tail. I own two cats I adopted off the streets as kittens, and both have crooked tails. In a prior city with a large stray cat problem, I’ve seen cats whose tail kinks almost all the way back around 180 degrees.
It is also a bit much to presume that a begging cat has actually been denied any food. That cat in the picture looks healthy, with a good shiny coat. Maybe the owners are trying to put it on a diet (“Why is this cat getting so fat, we barely give it any food….”)
They are just like their human equivalents, not everyone asking for more is a genuine charity case.
Thanks for the input and advice. I am still confused because the cat has not left our front porch for the past week. Sleeps on our door mat, lounges under the front deck and greets us every-time we open the door. She has grown rather attached and doesn’t seem to have owners. Maybe they moved away and sadly left him/her begin? We are hoping to gather as much information as possible in order to make a decision on how to proceed.
My cat, Monkey, got out and went missing while I was away on vacation. I m hoping someone in the neighborhood may have see her.
@10 do you have a picture of Monkey? does this cat look like Monkey?
Any updates? Is she still around?
I am a bit confused. If someone knows where this cat lives, then why don’t they contact the owners?
It would also be great to have an update so people will stop looking and also worrying about this baby.
She’s been staying on my back porch for the last couple of weeks, now. She’s eating well but is driving my inside cat crazy. If no one comes forward to claim her I will take her in when the weather gets cold. Location: 2200 block of E. Marshall.
No one has still come forward to claim her and she hasn’t left our front porch. I have an appointment at CHAH on Monday to make sure she’s been fixed and if she needs any shots.
Bill – We already have one indoor cat that doesn’t do well with other pets so unfortunately we can’t let her inside when it starts to get cold. We can continue to feed her but would you be able to take her in in a couple of months? Could you send me your email? Thanks
I won’t post my email on this site but if you contact John, he will give it to you. I’m happy to take care of our friend if I can.
@15 and @16, purr. She looks very sweet in the photo here, glad she’s being taken care of.
Hi John, would you mind giving me Bill Hartsock’s email address so I can contact him about the cat? We haven’t seen her in a week and we’re worried. Thanks so much?
@Carly – I have forwarded your message and email address to Bill
