Are you missing Thor?
09/10/2015 7:31 AM by John M
This guy just showed up on a porch in the 3200 block of East Broad. Has a collar with the name “Thor.” Called the phone number on the collar and the person at that number said she isn’t missing a cat. She also said that this was the second call she’s received about the cat. Obviously, the number is bad. CH Animal Hospital said that someone called there on 8/30 to report finding the same cat. The vet has a record for the cat, but he hasn’t been seen there in eight years. Please respond if you know this cat or his owner. If no one claims, he’s going to need a new home. He’s a super affectionate guy.
Update: Thor is on the loose at the moment. If you find him, please hold onto him and call 804-399-9720. Thanks.

On the loose or went home after breaking free from your “care”?
If you can’t say something nice (or helpful) ….
The cat was never in anyone’s care or “care” for that matter. There are plenty of free-roaming cats in CH, this one wasn’t familiar to me or my neighbors. Hopefully he’ll make his way home. If you hadn’t noticed, CH is a pet-loving community. Think about getting on board with that.
Dear #1 Neighbor:
He was hanging out on my porch. The only “care” that I gave him was to make a heartfelt effort and find out if he’d escaped from his home.
Please don’t give anonymous snide remarks to an animal lover who was trying to make sure that this cat was safe and that his owner wasn’t panicked if he were lost. Can you explain what I should have done differently?
Thor went on to visit the rest of the neighborhood after I went to work. The number provided in John’s post is for my friend who’s been super helpful in finding safe places for homeless pets in the area. They aren’t under her “care” either. She just does this out of the goodness of her heart.
Looks like the same cat that I sent a post on about a week ago… I believe it might be my new neighbor’s cat as it was in the yard with a very large dog and neither seemed phased by the other… Appears to be very social… 🙂
Well this is more attention then I’ve had in years. Thank you to the kind people who petted or fed Thor…he wasn’t lost but he does love to socialize. He sleeps in my bed every night with my German Shepard Ranger who hopefully won’t be roaming the neighbood. Anyway my correct number is 804 385 4430 so I better double check his tag. Cheers. Don.
