Last night I had a white iron cafe set stolen from behind my house on Chimborazo playground. It’s pretty heavy and would require a vehicle to move it any distance. Maybe we could see if anyone has cameras on that alley between 29th and 30th and the park?
Someone also attempted to steal the chair and table set from our front porch last night on 23rd Street. We woke up this morning to a decorative lantern that was shattered and broken as it must have fallen from the table. Fortunately, our set is locked together so they weren’t able to get away with it. Did you report it to the police? Please let us know if you hear more details.
I think we should all install cameras. They are a little pricey but once word gets out that we ALL have them, this shenanigans may stop.
Hey Frank, can you provide a rough time-frame you think it went missing? If it went into a pick-up and turned onto Broad St., my cameras would pick it up. Give me some times and I’ll take a look for you.
Ugh. So sorry! I hope you can find out more info on the crime! I agree with Liz- more cameras about would help us all! We live on 23rd too and have our front porch furniture tied together with a lock- I always felt bad about doing it, but now I am glad we did! After seeing people are even stealing strollers… it is just such a same! We just got an alarm and will install cameras in addition. Oh the joys and pains of city living!
