WHO: City of Richmond Department of Public Works
WHAT: Lane Closure
WHEN: Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, October 5 and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 30
WHERE: Jefferson Avenue between Clay and 24th streets
BACKGROUND: Traffic circle installation at Jefferson Avenue and Clay Street, Jefferson Avenue and 23rd Street and Jefferson Avenue and 24th Street. There will be intermittent lane closures. Motorist are urged to follow the road signage.

works for me. i hate waiting for the light at that intersection.

@ 6 This is phase one of long-term Jefferson Avenue improvements, and will include bike sharrows painted on both the east and west bound lanes of Jefferson Ave. Also, the circles are intended to slow the speed of vehicular traffic, making life safer for both pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
I’m a fan of the circles, but not sure that sharrows do anything for cyclists.
So has the work started on the circle this morning as scheduled?
I don’t think this happened…
