Burglary on 26th Street

BURGLARY / 700 block of North 26TH STREET
11/25/15-11/28/15 1200-1810HRSThe victim stated that while he was out of town an unknown person(s) entered his residence and stole several pieces of jewelry and a 42″ flat screen television. The victim stated that he left town on Wednesday at 1200 hours and returned Saturday at 1610 hours and discovered the break in. When the victim came home he discovered someone went through drawers in the residence and several items had been moved out of place.
It was determined that the suspect(s) may have made entry through the rear bedroom window and exited through the back kitchen door.
Detectives responded to the location and processed the residence for possible evidence of the crime.
Police ask anyone with information about this crime or others call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “Tip” followed by your tip. Both methods are anonymous.
I think everyone should be on high alert now that we are in holiday season. Get ready for packages to be stolen off porches.
When you are going out of town, don’t make it obvious. Pack your car at night. Leave music playing. Put those gadgets on lamps so that they come off and on. Have someone drop by. This burglary is very suspicious; to break in in less than 3 days. Don’t be surprised if it’s someone in your immediate block. Have the post office hold your mail. Don’t post it in social media.
