City Council is coming for your porch couch
12/12/2015 11:06 AM by John M
A few of the items on the agenda for the Monday, December 14, City Council Meeting (PDF) seem to be of specifically local interest:
- ORD 2015-08 To amend City Code § 38-152, concerning unlawful accumulation, for the purpose of making it unlawful to permit the accumulation of certain furniture manufactured primarily for indoor use on any property or on any alley, sidewalk, public right-of-way, grass strips, or street abutting such property.
- ORD 2015-245 To conditionally rezone the property known as 2801 East Main Street from the M-1 Light Industrial District to the B-5 Central Business District, upon certain proffered conditions. (To Be Continued to Monday, January 11, 2016)
- ORD 2015-246 To conditionally rezone the property known as 2825 East Main Street from the M-1 Light Industrial District to the B-5 Central Business District, upon certain proffered conditions. (To Be Continued to Monday, January 11, 2016)
Good. Any measure that reduces cozy housing for rats and other vermin is a good thing.
The two Main St papers are being deferred until January
THANK YOU. That couch is a few doors down from me and I can’t stand it, it makes an already trashy property look significantly worse. The tenants picked it up from the curb around the corner after someone else threw it out. It is quite disgusting and I think we will all be happy to see it gone. Sorry to sound like a ninny, but it is bad enough having to “help” clean up their empty beer bottles off the sidewalk.
Anyone know who I call about having my neighbor’s couch removed from their front porch?
