Burt Pinnock with Baskerville and David Belde with Bon Secours presented plans for the new health and wellness center going into the former Parsley Service Center at 26th Street and Nine Mile Road at this morning’s New Visions Civic League meeting.

Belde said that the center will focus on clinical integration, community engagement, and workforce development. They aim to have the center open in September, with groundbreaking in next few weeks.

The project includes a community space that will be available for local groups to reserve. The commercial kitchen in the space will be available for rent, as well.

Bon Secours will partnering with CHAT as part of the workforce development. CHAT will operate a coffee shop/snadwich shop as part of the $500,000 Robins Community Innovation Grant the group was awarded in December 2014. The space is being called “Dr.Joe’s” as a placeholder during the development process; look for more information as the year progresses.
