All quiet on Marshall Street

Surprisingly not as cold as it looks, (I went out in a sweatshirt & leggings) but it is as peaceful. Some people may despise the snow, but currently my soul finds it to be a necessary experience of downtime and rejuvenation. I haven’t heard a silence quite like this in a while and I won’t soon forget it.
Serene.
I agree … there is something peaceful about watching the snow fall resulting in a beautiful change to our daily landscape and causing the world to slow down for a minute…
Any idea what the snowfall total was for us? I know we have 20+ drifts in our yard. Will restaurants be open today?
We measured 13 inches in our courtyard (our building’s in the 2900 block of Broad). The T-D says Millie’s, Patrick Henry’s and WPA are open today, and I saw a couple of people with carry-out boxes walking around earlier. Government Road is a mess but Williamsburg Road is okay once you get into Henrico.
Poe’s has been open through out the how snow event.
