Arrest made in attempted B&E on 28th Street
03/23/2016 10:41 AM by John M
There was an attempted break-in on the 500 Block of N. 28th Street in Church Hill yesterday. We saw the suspect ringing our neighbor’s doorbell around 10 AM. He hung around for a while and we thought of calling the police, but he left (and there is no law against ringing someone’s door bell).
Later in the day, another neighbor reported that the suspect entered our neighbor’s backyard by jumping the fence and trying to enter the home through a window. He managed to cut away the screening before the police caught him. The suspect is in custody.
Please be aware of these kinds of activities, and keep your stuff locked up and secure. Keep your alarm system activated, if you have one.
OMG this is Awesome!!!! wtg GUYS!
There was a young black male that came knocking on our door yesterday morning but we did not answer since we were not expecting anyone. He went on walking down the street. 400 block N 27th.
We need to build a wall to keep the homeless/residents that reside in north Church Hill out of South Church Hill. I propose we build that wall on M street. It’s well known as the edge of where things start to get sketchy.
Sure there are pockets of great houses north of M street but crime rates go up the farther north in Church Hill you go.
And we are gonna make north Church Hill pay for it. How? Welfare cuts and whatever’s left over using the money that was going into the Mayor’s Churches/retirement fund.
Good neighbors to the rescue! That’s what it’s all about.
Wow, #7…. just… wow.
Hey 7…I like the way you think!
Number 7 I agree if we can move the wall to O st.
Hey 7, that kind of narrow minded thinking isn’t what we need in Richmond and won’t allow our city to make any sort of progress. How about you move in beside the dumpster behind Target where you and your mentality belong.
Hey guys, #7 is pure satire, making fun of Trump-style ridiculous “solutions” like building a wall with Mexico and making them pay for it.
