Students from the Green Teams at Armstrong High School, George Wythe High School, and Richmond Community, with Storefront and Groundwork RVA, took on a pesky vacant lot at 25th and Venable yesterday, and turned the empty corner triangle into something pretty.

Excellent.. Hope to see future information on this project. It would be great to see the local churches get involved.
Beautiful job and thanks for the hard work! It looks lovely.
Any idea or word as to why the benches and the ‘sign board’ have been removed?
@ann – It is my understanding that the property owner has become apprehensive about the space as being perceived as too public. I have heard that the situation is fluid.
Nice while it lasted. That was a hell of an investment in time, effort, and hope on the part of everybody involved except the owner.
