National Poetry Month Event – John Guzlowski Reads from Echoes of Tattered Tongues at The Fountain Bookstore

Author John Guzlowski’s parents had been slave laborers in German concentration camps during the war. They weren’t Jewish, but young Christians torn from their homes in Poland by the Germans and sent by cattle car to work in the camps. Through a haunting and raw collage of poetry and prose Guzlowski illuminates what it’s like being a war refugee in his new memoir, Echoes of Tattered Tongues. He will read from his book and sign copies.
