CAR to consider 8 new homes, new patio for Union Market

The agenda for Tuesday, April 26, 2016 meeting of the Commission of Architectural Review includes a number of local projects:

• 308 N. 23rd Street – Install synthetic decking on rear 2nd story porch
• 900 N. 25th Street – Rehabilitate the front porch by replacing the columns and railing
• 2114 E. Leigh Street – Install new porch railings on the front and rear porches at a higher height
• 2319 M Street – Paint previously painted masonry on foundation a light blue grey color
• 607-609 N. 29th Street – Modify previously apporved plans for two attached single-family residences to use woodgrain textured siding rather than the approved smooth siding
• 2111 M Street – Construct a garage at the rear of the property
• 2306 Jefferson Avenue – Construct a patio area for outdoor dining with bench seating and signage
• 2415 Jefferson Avenue – Rehabilitate an existing garage to accommodate a retail use by altering an existing opening, creating a new window opening, and installing cementitious siding, new windows and a door, and signage
• 2808 1/2 E. Leigh Street – Construct a new single family residence
• 506 N. 23rd Street – Modify previously approved plans for the construction of a trellis at the rear of the property
• 2112 E. Clay Street – Construct two attached single family dwellings
• 2400 E. Franklin Street – Construct a single family dwelling
• 2908 E. Franklin Street – Construct a new single family dwelling
• 3000-3006 E. Franklin Street – Construct three attached single family dwellings
