TAGGED: crime
Lock your car/s no matter where you park them.
I gave the RPD a security tape of these same guys over a month ago. I showed their faces pretty clearly. They cruised thru the neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon ( caught on my security camera ) and came back that night to rummage thru cars ( caught on my security camera ). What does it take to get these blood suckers off the streets?
@Jean
Unless you can say you are 100% sure (and not pretty sure) and pick these guys out from the line up at Police department from the video, just consider your video for your own entertainment purposes only.
The first month I had cameras, I solved many mysteries and was entertained by them on almost on a weekly basis. After a month of having them and giving tons of footage to the police I realize they do NO GOOD. Police can’t do anything with it unless they catch them red handed. They said it would not hold up in court, with HD 720/1080 footage!
As you know, they main thing we can do is don’t be stupid and lock your doors. If everyone locked their doors, people would quit trying them. The broad street section of the Hill is known for the section where us Dumb Asses leave our doors open all the time and it’s easy to take shit. I know I myself have been one of those dumbasses multiple times.
@4. You just made me remember my landlord in Santa Barbara. He put up dummy cameras on our property as a deterrent and warning signs about video surveillance. He never spent the money to hard wire for the very reasons you stated. It’s probably easier to be over-insured than to be constantly frustrated by RPD.
Daniel, I agree with you up to a point. I installed my cameras because somebody was throwing rocks at my geese. I identified the culprit. Not a kid, but an adult, gray haired man! The rock throwing stopped!
