My dog will sniff out the chicken bones long before I ever see the sign. A beer can or two is litter; chicken bones, banana peels and crab shell are garbage and that is simply disrespectful to all people and very dangerous to dogs.
I know this can be bad for dogs first hand, our littlest dog ate ?? something she shouldn’t have and we had an afternoon at Dogwood Emergency.
But out of curiosity why not clean up the bones in lieu of the sign? I get bringing attention to it to hopefully instill some level of remorse. But…
This is an issue at Chimborazo Park too. It seems like the car “picnicers” that park right beside several trash cans along the walkway, can’t manage to put their chicken bones and crab shells in the barrel.
Right out the car window and onto the ground they go….simply disgusting…
Add to that “Crab leg shells and rib bones”!
Voodoo? Santeria? Or just f’n’ lazy? (seriously, though, this is a pet peeve)
