Want to adopt a mamma cat and some kittens?
07/31/2016 4:29 PM by John M
From Erin on the CHPN Facebook:
East End Cemetery volunteers found four abandoned kitties with their mama this morning—they’d been left in a box. They’re now at home with me but can only stay until tomorrow morning (my husband is really allergic). Am planning to take them to Church Hill Animal Hospital in the morning. Would you help spread the word to potential adopters? Thank you!
I will foster them if they are still available. Have cared for a colony of feral behind my home. Trapped, neutered and released some but found homes for many
If you don’t get them to CH Animal Hospital tomorrow, I’d like to meet them. I have contacts with rescue groups too. Cpandmg2@verizon.net
Last I heard they were at Richmond Animal Care and Control
That is pretty unfortunate. RACC, like other shelters and rescue organizations are bursting at the seems with kittens and adult cats turned in by owners (which always spikes in the summer). Summer is always the slowest adoption time and adoption numbers are way down this year. The RACC is always looking for foster families so anyone who expressed an interest in these abandoned kittens should contact the shelter ASAP.
