Shooting in Jefferson Park?
08/29/2016 6:55 PM by John M
A neighbor is reporting a man was very recently shot in the arm at Jefferson Park. More as this develops.
Another neighbor reports that a suspected shooter is in custody after a foot chase.
I’ve reached out to RPD for information, will update when received.

Praise to all the Officers who responded so quickly. Our Park *will not* backslide into the kind of environment it was years & years ago. The Neighborhood will not allow it by any means…
There a street sign on Princess Anne honoring Alicia Rasin who so often spoke out against this very same type of violence.
Very sad for everyone involved.

The cop was able to chase the perp on foot and apprehended him at the corner of 24th & Clay. The young perp had tossed the gun in the back yard of the house on that corner. The cops were able to retrieve it. I saw it all go down. High five to RPD!
What HBB said!!! Way to go RPD!!!!
Thank you to the Richmond Police for their quick and successful response to the shooting. And thank you for keeping a watchful eye on the place where neighbors gather to relax and enjoy the best skyline view in the City.
