Afton has a heads up:
Hello! Car broken into on 400 block of 33rd st today. Wasn’t sure if I could directly post that to this page or not, but could you inform the masses that they may want to check their cars?
TAGGED: crime
My car was broken into as well 3 weeks back. My dog was barking at 3:40 in the am. Came down stairs and saw what looked like 2 teenagers in my car looking around.
Our car was also broken into on 500 block of 33rd on Sunday. Stole a knife out of the glove compartment but nothing else. Good reminder to keep cars locked and not to keep valuables in the car at all!
Bummer to hear that whoever is rifling through cars continues to do so. Mine was gone thru after I forgot to lock my car about 4 weeks ago (600 block of 29th). Thankfully I had nothing valuable in the car, but still miffed that someone was in it. Sorry to hear about your loss Kathryn! 🙁
The local news has solved the mystery of why these “thieves” are looking thru the owners manual. It seems that a valet key is often in the owners manual and most owners don’t know it is there. I didn’t know. The key is thinner than normal and is glued to page.
