Morrissey continues to lead, with Berry climbing and Stoney gaining ground

The newest poll of the Richmond Mayoral contest by the Richmond Association of Realtors has the race closing a little. Joe Morrissey still leads with 29% overall and is tops in 6 districts, with Jack Berry climbing up to 25% and claiming 3 districts (1st, 2nd, 4th).
Morrissey has a “statistically significant” lead in the 7th District at 44%, trailed by Berry at 16% and Levar Stoney at 13%.
To win the mayoral position in November, a candidate must win in 5 of the 9 districts. If no candidate claims 5 districts, a run-off election will take place in December between the 2 candidates with the top number of overall votes.
OK Jack needs to focus on winning 5, at least to take it away from Morrissey! Anyone but Morrissey!

I will not vote for this man. He is a pedophile and a disgusting human being using race baiting and pandering to certain demographics just to gain their vote. He is trash.
Morrissey isn’t going to take public assets and hand them over to his corporate friends. Berry has a long history of failure, going back to the 17th Street Marketplace. How is it so many people will vote for him when he lied right to their faces only a couple years ago?
Two things. One this is a poll of registered voters, rather than likely voters. I suspect that Joe’s number is lower among likely voters. The other is for Joe to win, he has to win 5 of 9 on 11/8. If he doesn’t and has to compete in a low-turnout runoff right before December, he is likely to lose to whoever is in the runoff with him.
