The Larus House

If you haven’t seen it recently, the grand house at 32nd and Clay Streets is undergoing a dramatic renovation. The property was briefly on the market back in August, and will be available again in the near future – though the price is TBA. The large brick house is being returned to a single family home, after housing group homes of various sorts for a number of years.
The house dates back to 1854,and was one of the properties detailed by Madge Goodrich for her 1936 WPA reporting. (Below, From the Library of Virginia)

Any bets on what it’ll be listed for? I’m gonna guess $550k.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see it listed at $699 depending on restoration quality. It looks like it has a lot of square footage.
@Mike – I would also point out that it had outbuildings/dependencies. Not sure if those are still there, but that means there is a lot of land and the possibility of a guesthouse, rental unit, workshop/office, etc.
@Mike, I think the flyer says it’s 4188 square feet.
