The pledged goal of Richmond Black Restaurant Week 2017 is to raise $10,000 to support Renew Richmond. Renew Richmond envisions a community in which all members living in areas where healthy, affordable food is difficult to obtain have access to fresh produce and nutrition education they require to sustain healthy and productive lifestyles. While Renew Richmond’s programs serve individuals of all socioeconomic backgrounds, the nonprofit’s primary focus is low-income populations with increased statistical risk for nutrition related health issues such as diabetes, heart disease and chronic obesity.
