On this date in 1775, Patrick Henry gave what would become his famous “Give me liberty or die me death!” speech to the Second Virginia Convention at St. John’s Church. Henry is credited with having swung the balance in convincing the convention to pass a resolution delivering Virginian troops for the Revolutionary War.
