- The Omiyah Investment Corporation brought the property in January 2013 for $68,000.
- The property was listed for sale for $250,000 in April 2015, but did not sell.
- In April 2017 the property is now for sale for $550,000.

LOL-Insanity. The owner is dreaming-totally irrational.
I wonder if that means the tenant is no longer offering car services.. I hope he’s still in business! He does good work and a reasonable price!
@JessOfRVA – Stoney is still there, he changed out a flat tire for me yesterday 🙂
This building would be awesome as another Lamplighter but thats too much for this building.
They paid 68,000.00 for it four years ago and want over half a million now? Fuck off
And all the toxins/lead in the soil that the EPA will force you to clean up once you actually try to rehabilitate. Oh wait . Trump killed the EPA . So you’re all good .*sarcasm*
These are the most gut-level honest responses I’ve ever read on this page.
Lamplighter second, was just coming to post that here :-). You could have the outdoor seating in the car port area.
I see maybe the $250,000 range. $550,000? Absolutely not! The revitalization in that area is not up to the point where you can sell for that amount. #tryagain
lol
I’ll bet the sellers are counting on a new Grocery Store, Culinary School and apartments up the road to increase his property value.
does it come with free tires?
#7 – Refreshing, isn’t it?
What is he a used car salesman?
“If you take this crappy property today, I’ll give it to you for half off!”
“Omiyah Investment Corporation”?
OMG Investment is more like it. Agree 100% with Leland.
Wait another year and ask for a million because, profits!
Please be nice if you buy it, the library wants cool neighbors.
@John M Thank you for reminding me of his name! I felt terrible when I couldn’t recall it earlier! Such a nice guy.
Lamplighters??? Please no more businesses that alienate the residents who made this community what it is and continue to add to its vibrancy daily. Plus…there’s going to be a coffee shop operating in the Sarah Garland Community Center.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if the current tenant could buy the building (at a reasonable price) and continue to operate his auto shop. 🙂
@18
Who is it that ‘made’ the Creighton court to Bon Secours corridor? And what is it today?
And by “community…. vibrancy” what do you mean?
And I would fully support a small business growth revolving fund for just such businesses, provided that they make enough money to pay back the fund. Some do, some don’t. Nice is goid, fixed tires are good, but that financial part matters for stability and health of community imho..

Hello All
I can understand and appreciate your comments. I especially love the vision of a restaurant with outdoor seating. The zoning allows for 2 levels above or a rooftop deck(?).
I was responsible for getting Ian Kelley in his 1st Sugar Shack location, which was smaller and location was in the same stage of redevelopment. This property has a ton of potential to house a thriving business, as well.
Any interested buyer will make an offer. It happens all the time in the redevelopment scenario and it is hard to find such a nostalgic corner property.
@21-Susan
You are going to equate the location quality of the Lombardy Sugar Shack with this property? Really?
Your call, I suppose, but that Lombardy location was dramatically more attractive for a new business for any number of reasons. Good luck getting your half million….
Here’s the description straight from the listing. Want a fun game? Find all the typos, factual errors and other problem!
Remarks: The large open interior open to the patio in a great restaurant location with potential to add 2 levels with conditional use permit – next to the Planned 20,000sf J. Sargeant Reynolds College Culinary Arts Program, Ukrops’ Jim’s Local Grocery Store 2-block mixed-use development and the Bon Secours 4-block expansion project and 500-unit housing redevelopment project. Revitalization of north Churchill at Nine Mile Road and the existing redevelopment is achieving the USA Today Top 10 Neighborhoods in the USA.
