Volunteers needed for National Night Out

There will be a grand National Night Out community celebration on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, on the field at 27th and Nine Mile.
Want to help out? Contact Mary Thompson at mwthompson111@aol.com or (804)648-7915 to assist in any of these areas:
- Help set up at 10 a.m. (put up banners, put trash receptacles, tables and chairs in place)
- Break down chairs and tables at the end of activity
- Work in the hospitality area (assists with food & beverages); take food to vendors, service providers
- Serve in the information booths (give out tickets, assist volunteers & service providers)
- Work in the Kids’ Zone area (many volunteers are needed))
- Assist chairperson with school supply distribution
- Keep the area clean during the event
- Help clean and restore the grounds to order at closing of the event
I plan to attend but received the notice just today in the office. I will have to be there later this evening to help in anyway possible.
