Where to recycle plastic bags in Richmond?
11/14/2017 7:23 PM by John M
Melissa asks:
Does anyone know where to take plastic bags for recycling in Richmond? I usually bring them to a Lowe’s, but I have amassed a ton of them and Lowe’s won’t take them all. I understand Target will take plastic bags, but again, not in large quantities. Thanks.

From what Ive seen, apparently in my yard…\_()_/
Any Kroger in town!!
Kroger, Target, Lidl, Publix. If you have more than their one container can take then you may need to make a few trips or go to a few different places.
WasteNotRVA probably knows!!
I used to work at the Lombardy Kroger and oftentimes the bag used to collect plastic bags was oftentimes full of regular trash and tossed in the dumpster.
Drop them offf at the Chimborazo dog park! They will most certainly go to good use!
Bring them to the dog park!
Jefferson Park welcomes recycled bags in our pooper scooper stations.
Walmart’s has a good sized bag return section (definitely the super center on nine mile) some thrift stores will take them I’d call ahead and make sure
You could take them here…. “What these seniors are doing with thousands of plastic bags will warm your heart…”
