House demolished on 23rd Street
10/25/2005 7:34 PM by John M
In the middle of a strange and interesting block and just outside of the real neighborhood-saving renovation push, 1315 North 23rd Street was demolished today.
Pictures tomorrow, if anything is left…
This is at least the 4th building demolished in the Fairmount area in the last 2 or 3 months. Of those, I know that at least 2 were not worth or able to be saved. This last one I know nothing about except the location. There are quite a few boarded up houses on that block of 23rd Street, possible one of the highest concentrations in the general area.
In today’s (10/30) Times Dispatch Legal Ads there is a notice for Demoltion of Structure for 1120 N 22nd St.
Another house nn the 1300 block of 23rd came down over past 10 days or so, across the street from the other…
The building at 2209 E Marshall has been demolished recently. I think the building was vacant for a while. There was a orange condemned sticker on the front window.
