Tarisa Griffith from the DCD will present the proposed zoning changes for areas in Church Hill Union Hill and Chimborazo. The membership will take a position on the proposed changes with a vote and will also discuss and vote on adding the block between 20th and 21st on E. The Union Hill Civic Association will meet at 7PM in the Dr. Benjamin Robertson, Sr. Fellowship Hall @ Cedar Street Baptist Church.
Planners from the Richmond Department of Community Development will be present to talk about proposed zoning changes that will affect Union Hill. Also, dues for 2008 will be collected at this meeting.
Management from Inner City Blues attended and spoke at last night’s UHCA meeting regarding their plans. Since no additional parking spaces are required at this time for a first floor only restaurant, the management said that they plan to open as such in the near future. They did say their long term goal would be to have a 2nd story lounge, but that will come at much later date.
Here is the letter the Family Resource Center sent the owner of the building regarding the lease for additional parking spaces needed to use the 2nd floor.
Here is a copy of Tarisa Griffith’s presentation on proposed zoning changes from the CHA meeting on Tuesday. (PDF) They are very open to questions or comments, so give her your feedback: Tarisa.Griffith@richmondgov.com,
