CAR agenda for 9/23

The agenda for the next regular CAR meeting on Sept.23 has been posted and includes items for 401 North 27th Street, 2818 East Broad Street, 3118 East Broad Street, 2102 East Broad Street, 2306 East Grace Street, and 517 North 27th Street. This is different than the special meeting on 9/12 on Oakwood Heights.
Anyone concerned about this historically significant building and its future should attend and voice their opinions of the proposed “reconstruction”. I will be going by the CAR office and taking a look a Walter York’s (York Construction) plans but according to construction permits applied for, they wish to turn this into an eat-in restaurant and do everything to the old brick section as well as demolishing and rebuilding the wooden section for $130k. Seems like an awfully low amount of money for such an ambitious project! And wonder about the historic integrity as well?
Also, I am not opposed to the fact that they wish an eat-in restaurant but wonder just “who” they want to cater to knowing how their stance is with the neighbors and neighborhood who they claim has “hampered” progress in the past with this building. And there is still the parking issues as well.
Does anyone have any inside info on this please post it here!
