It Must Be Heaven, the long awaited ice creamery, has been open for a few days now. While they are still getting up and running, the ice cream is delicious Gelati Celesti and the sundaes are freakin’ amazing. Open 7 days a week, until 7PM Sun-Thurs and 11PM Fri-Sat. Stop by and show some love.

Went there the night it opened and thought the ice cream was great. The people there are also very nice. Show some support for this business.
That is GREAT News! Finally, hope the wait was worth it and plan to visit this weekend.
Eric
will you be signing autographs as part of the grand opening?
Just stopped there for some ice cream. So good! Very friendly staff, and great ice cream.
Wanted to mention, also, that their credit card machine was not up yet – supposed to be connected tomorrow. I had looked before ordering but didn’t know that it wasn’t hooked up. Being a debit card girl, I was a little embarrassed and offered to write a check.
They actually told me not to worry about it – just come back tomorrow. Wow! Kinda unheard of in this day and age, I thought, especially since I was looking kind of like a vagrant from a late afternoon nap.
Very cool spot. Looking forward to watching as their menu and business grows.
Our family took a 4 hour walk today from Fulton Hill to Globe Hopper to It Must be Heaven and home the home again.
Not having to drive to the West End for Gelati Celesti is a boon for us 🙂 It is a divine frozen treat.
The folks working were very friendly and it looked like people were dropping in at regular intervals.
We wish them luck.
I scream,
You scream,
We all scream,
For ice cream!
This is the way that I always hear that, now:
I’m going to hold off going until I have a dream of a fifty foot Jesus with an ice cream cone.
My hubby and I went yesterday – yum yum! I am a ice cream-aholic. This could be very dangerous to my waistline! The Cookie Dough was delicious! Can’t wait to try more flavors!
Oh and what a neighborly gesture to be patient with those who do not carry cash.
This weekend was hectic so sorry about that you autograph hounds 🙂
I DO still plan to stop by going by what people are saying. Will they also be serving Hot Dogs and other foods as mentioned earlier on in a different thread?
And yes, a VERY neighborly gesture in this day and age so don’t disappoint them 😉
Eric
Dear Eric –
Neighborly gesture? You’re preaching to the choir. I would not be able to sleep if I didn’t go right down the next morning and pay that 6 bucks. So you KNOW I did. 🙂 I’m a super-dork about stuff like that.
I’ll probably buy some take-out tomorrow to have in the freezer at home. I was happy to see that they sell it like that, too. I foresee many a pit-stop along that well-traveled path.
Just want to say that we have been several times since their opening and have always been pleased – with their product AND service. The people working there are friendly and are really taking an interest in our neighborhood. Let’s continue to support them as part of Church Hill!!
I pass by this shop and especially in the evenings when the interior lights are one, you wonder if they are open? There is no decor in the place (plain walls) and no signage anywhere to be readily seen including name in the window (hard to see on canvas in the evening) or anything that says what they are?
