The agenda for the December 16 CAR meeting (PDF) includes the following: demolish two-story mixed-use frame building at 3302 East Marshall Street, rehabilitate brick/stucco portion and demolish frame portion and reconstruct with taller profile at 401 North 27th Street, construct 79 units at 2001 East Broad Street, and rehabilitate commercial building and construct new adjacent building at 2211 Jefferson Ave. [via]
Does anyone have any information on the 79 proposed units at 2001 East Broad? I live across the street and this is the first I’ve heard of it. It’d be great to fill in that empty lot, but I’d be concerned about the parking. Thanks!

I’ve heard something about a pizza joint going into 2211 Jefferson. Whoopee!
I know the neighbors received a notice in the mail, but I don’t think it gave details other than mixed commercial and residential use proposal. Also, I was told the notice was about the property at Dukes Auto, but they could have been mistaken.
Now see, someone else is concerned about “parking”… well get a load of that, hmmm…

79 unit condo parking does not equal restaurant patronage parking needs
Just checked out the plans for 2211 Jefferson. A compatible one story addition in the vacant lot at 2209, and a remodelling as a restaurant.

Right. And, the word is that it is going to be a pizza parlor with about 4-6 booths for in-house dining, a liquor license for at least beer and wine, but best of all – TAKEOUT and DELIVERY!
