Public hearing set for ordinance on changes to the Downtown Master Plan
02/06/2009 10:18 PM by John M
Following the adoption of the Richmond Downtown Plan in October, an ordinance was introduced that would direct the City Planning Commission to consider amendments to the Plan. Richmond City Council will hold a public hearing on this ordinance on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 6:00pm in City Council Chambers (2nd floor, City Hall). The ordinance would direct the Planning Commission to consider amendments to the Plan, including those related to viewsheds, waterfront access, standards for the former Tarmac property (AKA Echo Harbor), among others. the current, and recent version of the downtown master plan has no mention of the archaeological site from the slave trading. if it is not there it must not be important to those all knowing city planners! there are some organized groups against baseball in the archaeology, but they are opposed to amending the downtown master plan, which could note the importance of the archaeolgy they claim important.
it only makes sense in richmond
so what post 2
scenic virginia says something and you have to agree, no questions asked, you dont have the option to think for yourself, or you have become so socially bound to a group, from the kool-aid, you dont bother to, or cant think.
to hell with slave archaeology, as long as we can keep our view from libby hill.
exactly how can the city create an “architect of the commonwealth” when the city cant do squat without the consent of the general assembly?
and all of these improvement organizations, that were on a first name basis with the gov, maybe they could ask the gov to create an “architect of the commonwealth”
cant get a call returned?
leighton & co thought they were all tight with gov tim, but he screwed them on the murphy hotel. next it will be the old hospital. gov tim has left them in the dust, headed for greener pasture, and the only option is to hook up with rachels gang.
seems to me that the downtown master plan is inadequate, and it needs to be amended, and it is the job of the planning commission to consider amendments.
otherwise it seems that “scenic virginia” is opposed to making the archaeology site from the slave trade a component in the downtown master plan.
Downtown Richmond plan could include riverfront condos RTD 2/9
